Moores Racing (UK Endurance )
2007 British Supersport 600 Endurance Champions

They had already won the championship, but Moores Racing weren't going to sit back and do nothing at Silverstone and there was a chance they could win the overall series. The Moores Racing Team once again pulled out all the stops and won the last race of the season by 8 laps over Ducks X Racing and finished 3rd overall.

Jim Agombar once again took the LeMans start after a dodgy flag drop confused more than a few riders, sending some running and some returning to the start position! Once everyone realised the race had started, Jim sprinted to the bike and took off to put Moores in 3rd right from the start.

The Silverstone circuit proved to be a challenge with the tricky chicane and a full grid including a 30-strong Junior Endurance grid, many of whom were racing endurance for the first time.

Jim kept up the pace and kept us with in the top 3 when Mike took the saddle and maintained the position throughout, even though there were a few hairy moments on the circuit. When Tony went out for the 3rd stint, he also kept us at the front of the pack. We were gaining ground but it was decided not to change tyres for Jim's next run. Jim's lack of confidence in the well worn tyres showed in his first 3 laps with him running uncharacteristically slow lap times, but he decided to throw his brain away and by his fourth lap, he was back on form. Mike and Jim took the last two stints and maintained our 3rd position overall, but were the first 600 over the line, giving Moores Racing the final win of the season, proving they were indeed the British Supersport 600 Endurance Champions.

It was with extreme pride that the team watched the riders go for their "podium" on Saturday - and they were certainly the best turned out team - they all looked so professional in their matching Hein Gericke leathers and NGK hats and the 1st place was well deserved. What a season!
